Good Eater

Rowdy definitely gets his taste buds from Mom. He will eat anything! and a lot of it! Although this is sort of a problem at this young age, especially around dirt, we are very thankful for this quality he posesses .
However he does not have an off button, so in a few years we are fully expecting to be eaten out of house and home!

Week in Review

-My mom's birthday on Sunday. Go 49ers!!!! I am not going to lie I had a great time duct taping that gift bag

-I took Rowdy for a swim and he was so relaxed he fell asleep in the pool! I just layed him down when we got inside and he slept for an hour.

- We finally had a day off together and went to go feed the ducks at a park near our house. Rowdy was mezmerized! We were also musing as to where the ducks would fly to, then this morning we saw one was in our pool! It was sooo cute!

-We stopped by our local State Farm Agent's office (our good friend Tobie) and he gave Rowdy his first Lolipop.

-I needed a little time to work on some graphic design stuff so I sent the boys out. Rowdy came home in big boy unders due to his blowout at Target, with an orange shirt that says I get my muscles from my dad, and a big ole' dancing pickup truck that sings cotton eye joe! I was cracking up.

Monica gave us tickets for the Long Beach Grand Prix. Rowdy actually liked the earplugs more than hearing his Dad and I trying to get his attention.
A Rowdy size car at the LBGP
Cody trying to think of how to convince the showroom man to let he and Rowdy have a seat since Rowdy matched the lamborgini.

El Templo

Fuimos al templo el otro dia y ahora Syd es parte de nuestra familia eterna. Ella puede morir y esta bien porque estamos sellados. No queremos que muere. Que fabulosa es saber que podemos ser familia para siempre.

The Cheerio Jar

At first I blamed Celeste for the declining cheerio level, but Rowdy stole the cheerios from the cheerio jar. And when he does he likes to drop them around the house for later.

The Beach Bum

We went to Seal Beach yesterday and the tide was way out so we let Rowdy crawl around in the wet sand. He loved everything about it until some water made it up to him. The taste was his favorite part.

Blog vision

I purposely took a break from posting stuff this week, because I felt like I was getting addicted!! Instead of enjoying precious little moments like watching Rowdy stick his face in the sand or start learning to wave, I would instantly think ohhh! I can put this and this and this on the blog! That happens to me sometimes with a camera too. instead of seeing the world like I was made to I start seeing everything in rectangles... that would make a great shot ohh... I like that composition. And then sometimes the pictures take over my memories and all I remember of an occasion is what I took pictures of. Anyway I have had some healthy time away and actually started writing more in my journal. But... wait till you see this past week in pictures!!! :)

Grand Slam Home Run!

I saw my first Grand Slam home run today! I wish it had been more exhilarating! I was so distracted by these sooo stinkin' cute cousins I didn't realize the bases were loaded! I did see the hit though. Mr. Mike Napoli hit right over the fence near the waterfall. It was beautiful.

Anyway obviously we made it to an Angels game. It was this afternoon and we thought, "sweet an afternoon game it won't be that crowded." Wrong! Don't people have work or something else they need to be doing? like designing a website (Celeste) or finishing the laundry? (Celeste) or... jk It was a fun day. Especially fun too that we got to see Kodi Lyn and Degan! and hang out with our family, and watch Tiffany cringe when Big Cody bought little Kodi a big ole' hunk a cotton candy!

p.s. the Angels won the Indians 9 - ?... who cares they won!

Mmm Oatmeal (and boogies)

Rowdy at the beach

This video is before Rowdy decided he liked the taste of sand and crammed three fistfuls into his mouth!

Rowdy and another lemon

Aww. I feel so bad, but I can't help cracking up every time!

BFF

I have some major competition. As in I think Monica has a new BFF.
Really, Monica is the bomb. She is without a doubt Rowdy's favorite non-related babysitter. Thanks Mon Bon, We love you

What a ham!

This boy seriously know how to mug for a camera. I am getting a little worried we are going to have a "pretty boy" on our hands. The faux hawk is from Aunt Letti

Cake!

Our neighbor and friend, Judy Black, turned 30 this weekend. and she loved pink and black and skull and crossbones. I made her cake and I think it came out cute! I had a little extra frosting and Cody said he would be the taste tester

Camping trip to Leo Carillo

hmmm salty, I like it

Yum dirt!

(Rowdy held onto this apple core for half a mile)
A few weekends ago Rowdy discovered how to rough it! and he also discovered he liked the taste of dirt, sand and marshmallows. The cooler was his favorite spot. and actually it was probably the roughest on Cody and Celeste who forgot to bring any bedding for Rowdy therefore were forced to share mummy bags with him! But... We had a really fun time. We went to Leo Carillo, where my family used to go every spring break. Its a beach above Malibu but you camp at the base of mountains. It was a really fun trip. I can't wait to go again! Does anyone want to come?

Conference Weekend

Yeah! I love Conference weekend. Rowdy Cody and I went to the church on Saturday to watch conference only to discover we could watch it on the internet. It has been so cool. On Saturday there was a solemn assembly where we got to stand and sustain the new prophet Thomas S. Monson, the new first presidency and the 12 apostles. I loved elder Uchtdorf's talk about faith of our fathers and our Heavenly father. I've just been thinking about that a lot because we are doing some missionary work with a neighbor who is very concerned about tradition. And Elder Ballard's talk to young moms of course I loved. and our new prophet told some sweet family stories and asked us to pray for him. I feel spiritually fed.

At the car wash yeah

Yesterday we went to Letti's and washed the car. (she is also the one who has taken the really detailed so cool pictures of Rowdy.) Anyway we were washing our little toaster because there were tons of bugs to curse us for "fooling" the "father of all of April fools jokes" my dad. The day before, we surprised him at school with silly string after writing "just married" and "Hottie" all over his car before his meeting. It was really fun to surprise him. he doesn't get many visits since he has transfered out to desert hot springs. so even though we did the deed he still took us out to lunch. Then mom watched Rowdy while we went to the temple. it was a sweet day
