The 'Hawk

This past monday we went to a quiltathon for humanitarian aid at our friends the Tates. The hawk gave me some magical quilting powers and also some other powers that are not suitable for public blogging. It was a good night and we were able to finish five quilts. It might be a small number but I feel that five people in some other corner of the world will be happy. About 40 people showed up and we had a great time.

Here are some of the "other" magical powers that the Hawk brought on display. Even Celeste is amazed at the power of the Hawk.

Vacation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On thursday morning we started off our vacation with some donuts (video to follow later). We had to cut Rowdy off at #4. Celeste says he was born without an off button. After the donut cleanup we drove down to Sea World and...

kissed a sea lion...
petted piranas...

and even tried to get a penguin home in Rowdy's backpack.

Rowdy is trying to graduate to water bottles.

Momentous Mothers day

What does any fairly new mother really want for Mother's day?
A nap.
Well my mother's day wish was granted mostly out of pitty :) Cody and I came down with either a 24 hour bug or food poisoning from our hot date the night before, at which we discovered Cody needs a new magnetic strip on the back of his bank card. Luckily we were spending the night at my parent's house so they played with Rowdy and nursed us back to health. (Thanks Dad for the amazing breakfast)(and the gingerale). Anyway while I was sleeping....

Rowdy chows down on his first steak with Yaya.

Work that tooth buddy!
My Dad made some great food on Mother's day.
and our family nap caused my poor Mom to go to the 2nd ward all by herself.

We ended up going to the Northpark ward a little later with my Dad to hear Nan speak.
She gave a Great talk,
then...

Rowdy got his first haircut from Nan!

What a memorable weekend. We have been truly blessed with such great amazing and talented mothers (and families). Thanks for all of the love and support. We salute you and we smooch you.

Foamer Festival

Cody's work put on a family day this Saturday. It was really fun. It was at the railroad museum in Perris. It was not what I expected. I expected a dirty dusty old train yard, but it was a so cute vintage depot and park, with lots of green grass, trees and flowers, and an in-n-out truck! :) There were lots of cool old train cars they were giving rides in too. We met up with Letti and her kids there. It was fun to see them do all the cool jumpers ( jealous! ) and get their faces painted (actually Rowdy and I participated in the face painting with some lighting bolts on our cheeks). It was just really nice to be with Cody AND Rowdy. They have had different sleeping schedules lately. And for anyone who was not aware I, Celeste Bowler, am a foamer. and for anyone who is not aware of the definition of foamer ... I love trains (and the man who drives them).

"None goin' North and One point'n South"

"Rowdilito Bowzalito Chewa Lotta stuffa wiffa myah bigga toofa was his name OH! "

p.s. Kaidee, 5, took the pics of Rowdy sitting up! Following right in her mothers footsteps of being a fabulous photographer

We had some Rowdy company last week!

Great Aunt Geralee (aka GAG) came to visit from Idaho, so my mom and Dad came from the IE to say hi too. We had a nice time. and if anyone needs help with metrolink "Gergalee" now knows it like the back of her hand! :)

Our cousins Casey and Megan came over.

We had a great slumber party! Then they went to Disneyland the next morning!
(come again soon)

Then what to our wondering eyes should appear? but a cute little girl with dimples up to her ear! Armanie, Locke and Katie's little girl who is 4 months old, came down with Katie on Thursday and we also had a lovely time.

So Thanks to all our Rowdy visitors! Mwa!

Teacups!

Why go to Disneyland for the teacups when you can ride them at Nan's house?
