Yesterday was a Friday. Cody finally had 2 days off... He's been working his tail off. Thursday was fun, we got some happy fun news, and Friday he wanted to go jet skiing. So we rented some wave runners and snagged Rowdy out of school early and went to lake Lewisville. Letti and Dee watched Elliot  so we just had the boys. It was so awesome! It was fun to let the boys drive although I would in voluntarily scream everytime they would go full throttle. We ate lunch and some teeny fish started eating our crumbs then bigger blue gills. We spent a while trying to catch them with our hands. We are pretty sure that water logged our blue jetski....sitting on the back. but we got that taken care of, the guy helping us beached it and crashed his chest into the steering  wheel hard... but was ok... then we  and continued to frolick. We got to go all over the lake. Ezra was so happy that Cody was home. and he got to ride the blue jetski. It was so amazing to be clear out in the middle, with the wind in our hair. It was a happy day. The water and the weather were perfect. It had the crazy mirror effect at times.

Elliot got a hair cut from Paisley while we were gone. Its cute! :) She just has some layer bangs. I guess the both of them were also experimenting on some Barbie hair. :) but we were so grateful  that the Byrds watched her while we were on the lake. It would've been stressful to feel like everyone was safe and not going to fall off.

Rowdy had his first baseball game today he did well. He hit a single off the coach's first pitch. Then later a single off the tee. When it was time to come home he was sure to slide in... even though the ball was nowhere near him :) he was a happy guy.
Cody got called into Oklahoma city last night. h'es pretty sure he has strep throat  :( Ezra had it last week and was barfing the week before that. hopefully thats the end of it.

 The kids are growing up so fast and I am way behind on journal/blogging for them. but no better time to start than the present.

Seminary is going pretty good. I still feel like I have a lot to improve on as a teacher but the group of kids are great. I feel like we are all in a good mood after seminary everyday. It feels like prayers are being answered!

november

November November. 

Its so hard to write back-blog because a lot of the details are gone. But then sometimes you see weird themes for the month. I just remember November being kind of hard. The Bowlers were here all month, well, Nan and Pops came for a month. Nan helped out in Seminary a lot. I think the seminary fatigue was beginning to set in with me, and then insecurity as a teacher. Which kind of ebbed out as insecurity and unhappiness in other facets of my life.  So I mentally struggled during November. Letti, I'm sure felt the pang of lonliness being the only sibling not here so she came out with some of her kids, and half stayed with us. Its easy to look back now and see that some of my feeling were just me being self-centered.  Feeling left out but then again not really wanting to be hanging out all the time. I did not feel myself. Its silly, but it felt real and sad at the time. It was a hard month. Then I felt horrible because its supposed to be a happy and grateful and I was depressed. Like I couldn't shake it. It did make me appreciate and rely on my own little family much more.

The kids had a great month so that was good. They loved seeing Nan and Pops & Yaya and Aunts and Uncles and cousins.

My Mom came down for Thanksgiving, at the end of the month, these pics are from her. Cody went and played soccer one morning with Locke.
