Ho Ho Ho, Merry Kiltmas!

Our Neighbor Toby, invites us over from time to time to take Rowdy pictures with all his photography toys. He has a son just a little older than Rowdy, also named Cody. Anyway we thought this would be a fun time for the debut of Rowdy's Scottish getup, which was a gift from the grandparents.

I don't know if Rowdy was upset because he didn't recognize his Dad, or he realized he was basically wearing a skirt
Heres the gettup
"You better behave little boy, or you'll get coal in your stocking!"
just kidding, I think was supposed to be an endearing pose. This is little Cody begging Rowdy not to jump ship
Merry almost Christmas everyone!

Some Pics

Well here it is: Celeste and Rowdy did the decorating and I just paid for it. Isn't that how it usually works? It is a sweet little cottage though.

Disclaimer: I had nothing to do with this. I was at work.

Not so much

The True Spirit of Christmas

Saturday night Nan and Pops came down to our house in Cypress. We had a really good time with them, and then we got to see "Reflections of Christ". Its a photography exhibit reflecting scenes from Christ's life. Its on until Tuesday if anyone close wants to come experience it. They basically turned our primary room into a beautiful gallery to display the photos. Here is the link to Reflections of Christ. Nan's favorite is when Jesus is being baptized. One of Cody's favorite is the manger scene, with just Jesus, Mary and Joseph. I couldn't pick one favorite. They are amazing! and so real, which was an excellent reminder that Christ IS real. It was really uplifting and got us all in the true spirit of Christmas. I hope we can all grow a little closer to Christ this Christmas and not get overwhelmed by all the hype.
Loves,
The Bowlers

We are thankful for our Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was awesome!
It was a Camp Hinckley year, up in Running Springs, with Cody's family. The weather was fabulous and wintery, as in rainy and the food and company were fantastic.
Rowdy discovered Dry erase boards and black olives all in one trip
Everyone say, "Turkeys!"

Cousin bath in the cafeteria kitchen sink
My mom and Dad came up the Mt. for Thanksgiving dinner and then headed out that night to go hike the Grand Canyon! It is awesome to have both sets of grandparents just around the bend from each other.
Nan taught the little boys how to ride a horse broom

It was amazing to see how close the wild fires had gotten to Camp Hinckley. We are so glad they preserved the lodgeRowdy is already learning to use a razor.
and don't worry everyone his Dad remembered and trashed the stash!
Thanks everyone for your hard work! We had an amazing time.

V8 POWERED

Today Rowdy drank his veggies. Well, at least half of them.
