Rewind!

We have seriously been MIA as far as blogging goes. So if you want the chronological story rewind to the february post that has been emblazoned on our blog for most of the year, and hopefully by the time you get to the present I will have caught up on all of my place holders!

May 17th

B day stuff

Yoga Baby

So Baby bowler is due August 12th.
We had a real sonogram taken a few weeks ago here in TX, and the little guy was getting his morning stretches in when all of the sudden, Yes! Foot to head. He must be a little Californian like his Dad and Papa Arlan, because I haven't heard the term Metro out here yet.

I love that the little man did this because no offense to the babe, but we have been so preoccupied with house hunting he has kind of taken the back burner of our minds. But seeing his little personality come out made us remember how excited and lucky we are to be having another little man in our home, hopefully house :)
p.s. we put an offer down on one today!

Rowdy Shout Out

New Rowdy stuff

We are in TX!

Which is a little closer to New Orleans

CA stuff

Cause I'm Fidy!

Mom's 50th B day, San Diego

Nor Cal Extravaganza

Idaho to Locke and Katie's house=14 hours! yikes. We split it up just right though and it wasn't bad at all. It was so wierd driving into California, thinking I am not going to be a Californian any more! Thats all I have ever known. And really if you are trying to talk yourself into moving to another state Nor Cal is not the place to do it. It is soo beautiful and just cool.
It was so fun to play with Armanie and watch her and Rowdy run around together.

Aunt Katie got some free mulch for her new herb garden

We got to go to half moon bay. It was gorgeous!
and if you see any cones in the background they were to protect the baby sea lions.
It was however a very windy day

Awwww

Windy much?!

Rowdy didn't like to touch the sea anemonies, he was more into throwing rocks at them.
Not quite the tender heart
Armanie is so stinkin' cute

We also watched conference, had a spring easter celebration, costco lunch and lots of fun. Thanks Locke and Katie for the nice vacation, and geting the mouse!

How Peanut Butter saved the day

So when we were in UT, my cousin Missy showed me a Down East Basics Discount store by her house! I was super excited because they have cute clothes and long prego shirts. While I was there I stumbled upon a denim skirt that I totally loved when I saw it in their catalog and tried to buy for $30, but they were sold out. I figured it would be an amazing staple. So at this little gem of a discount store I found the skirt for $5! because it needed a new zipper. woo hoo!
So then we were in Idaho, with a crazy wintery April blizzard. My grandparents live near a grain silo that was on my great Grandpa's farm, and it was cooold. So we head out to California to visit Locke & Katie and we do think its a little weird that there is a hole in our bag o' cookies. and in Reno I go to try on this cutest denim skirt and the butt has been gnawed through! definite rodent nest material!! ahhhh! Thank goodness for discount stores. Long story short we talked ourselves into the fact there was no mouse in the car because we couldn't find it, but in CA just to be safe Locke set traps with peanut butter and lets just say we are glad the border patrol didn't ask us about bringing cold little field mice into California. poor little guy.

Road Trip!

So since Texas is even farther away from Idaho than California. My Mom talked us into joining her on her spring break road trip to visit the Fam. and we conveniently left the day before the truck had to be packed. Sorry Cody! Rowdy was super good in the car on the way up. I am kicking myself for not getting the pics from my mom's camera, but we did stop to see Syd (Cody's little sister, who is studying cosmetology in Orem) who gave Rowdy a little trim around the ears, and we also stopped near Salt Lake to see the Anderson family and see Missy's (Celeste's cousin) cute new house.
My Mom's birthday was in 2 weeks so all of her brothers and sisters in teh area surprised her with a half birthday, because she was going to be a half a century old, as in 50. It was hilarious all the gifts were in half. My favorite was the bag of gummy bears in which all of the gummy bears inside had been lovingly snipped in two, and the box of chocolates in which half a bite had been taken out of each chocolate! talk about following through with a theme!

There were also some maja blizzards while we were in ID.

Rowdy had so much fun with Grandma and Grandpa Walker

Can you tell we are related?

We all have the same tummies

Goodbye OC

Well, all of the sudden Cody was the youngest guy working on the railroad in L.A. We had talked and even looked at buying homes in TX a few times before and this just felt like the right time to do it. Maybe it was Heavenly father giving us a kick in the pants? It was really hard to say goodbye. We can blame the tears on pregnancy hormones, but it was really hard to say goodbye to our sweet friends and neighbors. Our last night here Cody surprised Rowdy and I by inviting some friends to a beach bonfire. It was perfect.

Tobie Veronica and Cody, our neighbors. Monica my BFF and Megan a soccer friend, Kaidee cutie pie, Chelsea my running partner and friend and her family Steve and Kyle and Ashley Came to the Bon-fire slash beach bike riding goodbye. It was sweet.

Ashley Rowdy and Kyle=buff arms for mamas pushing them 4 miles in strollers almost every morning

We felt so loved as we headed out on our new adventure.
We really couldn't have made such a quick move without everyone's help.
Thanks for baby sitting Rowdy, packing boxes, having last minute hurahs with us, loading the truck, dinners, giving new homes to some of our jizunk, and sending us off with love.
